Event Guidelines

Read through the rules, rounds, and judging criteria for SCETATHON 2026.

Registration

The group leader must fill out the online registration form with details of all team members. Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable. Each student can participate in only one team.

Registration Fee & Payment

Fee: ₹200 per team member

Payment Timeline: Fee will be collected offline only after teams are shortlisted in Round 1

  • Payment will be collected offline only
  • Selected teams will have to pay the fees during round-2 at SCET campus
  • No online payment is required during registration

Idea Presentation (Online)

Submission Deadline: 2 March, 11:59 AM

Present your idea for the selected problem statement through online mode.

If you are working under your mentor already, then mention it in the PPT on first page
For those participation from SCET will have to present the idea before the jury on 2nd March
For those outside SCET, they will have to present their idea online and further details will be informed to them

24-Hour Hackathon (Offline)

Shortlisted teams will be called for 24-hour offline hackathon at SCET campus.

Rules & Regulations

  • 1Team must consist of 3-5 members.
  • 2Group leader must fill the online registration form with details of all members.
  • 3Multidisciplinary participations are highly encouraged.
  • 4Student can participate in only one team.
  • 5Teams have to present their solution in the form of a prototype.
  • 6Projects must align with the given hackathon themes or challenges.
  • 7All projects must be submitted by the designated deadline including project description, code, and presentation.
  • 8All code developed during the hackathon should be the original work of the team.
  • 9Teams are encouraged to collaborate and seek help from mentors, but cross-team collaboration is not allowed during competition. Mentors provided in 1-hour mentorship session for teams who have opted for them.
  • 10Each team will have to present their project to the judging panel demonstrating functionality and innovative aspects.
  • 11Result by the judges will be final and based on clearly communicated criteria.
  • 12Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or unfair practices will result in immediate disqualification.
  • 13Participants retain full ownership of intellectual property rights to their projects.
  • 14Organizers may conduct code validation to ensure the project was developed within the given time frame.
  • 15Use of AI tools is permitted but must be disclosed.
  • 16All team members must be present during the whole 24-hour event duration.
  • 17There will be no TA/DA for the participants to attend hackathon.

Important Notes

There will be three prizes (First, Second, and Third).
Decision of the evaluation panel members based on performance will be final.
There will not be any prizes problem statement-wise.
Participants should adhere to a code of conduct promoting inclusivity, respect, and professionalism.
Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Organizers and sponsors hold no liability for any damages, losses, or injuries incurred during the event.
Participants may be required to provide consent for photographs, videos, or project details for promotional purposes.
Organizers reserve the right to make changes to rules, format, or prizes at any time.
