Event Guidelines
Read through the rules, rounds, and judging criteria for SCETATHON 2026.
Registration
The group leader must fill out the online registration form with details of all team members. Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable. Each student can participate in only one team.

Idea Presentation (Online)
26-27 February, 2026
Present your idea for the selected problem statement through online mode.

24-Hour Hackathon (Offline)
6-7 March, 2026
Shortlisted teams will be called for 24-hour offline hackathon at SCET campus.
Rules & Regulations
- 1Team must consist of 3-5 members.
- 2Group leader must fill the online registration form with details of all members.
- 3Registration fee is non-refundable.
- 4Multidisciplinary participations are highly encouraged.
- 5Student can participate in only one team.
- 6Teams have to present their solution in the form of a prototype.
- 7Projects must align with the given hackathon themes or challenges.
- 8All projects must be submitted by the designated deadline including project description, code, and presentation.
- 9All code developed during the hackathon should be the original work of the team.
- 10Teams are encouraged to collaborate and seek help from mentors, but cross-team collaboration is not allowed during competition.
- 11Each team will have to present their project to the judging panel demonstrating functionality and innovative aspects.
- 12Result by the judges will be final and based on clearly communicated criteria.
- 13Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or unfair practices will result in immediate disqualification.
- 14Participants retain full ownership of intellectual property rights to their projects.
- 15Organizers may conduct code validation to ensure the project was developed within the given time frame.
- 16Use of AI tools is permitted but must be disclosed.
- 17All team members must be present during the whole 24-hour event duration.
- 18There will be no TA/DA for the participants to attend hackathon.

Important Notes
There will be three prizes (First, Second, and Third).
Decision of the evaluation panel members based on performance will be final.
There will not be any prizes problem statement-wise.
Participants should adhere to a code of conduct promoting inclusivity, respect, and professionalism.
Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Organizers and sponsors hold no liability for any damages, losses, or injuries incurred during the event.
Participants may be required to provide consent for photographs, videos, or project details for promotional purposes.
Organizers reserve the right to make changes to rules, format, or prizes at any time.
